The AVERAGE command can be used to concatenate spectra of different
frequency ranges. This can be done by enabling the COMPOSITE
mode (SET ALIGN VELO|FREQ COMPOSITE).
All the rules presented in the different sections above apply without
exception:
- the output abscissa is computed as exposed in
section . In particular, the output resolution
is set to the coarsest resolution of all the spectra in the
index (eq. ), and the output range is the
minimal which can contain all the input abscissae ranges,
- the resampling (and averaging in overlapping parts) rules
presented at section apply,
- the returned header is also set according to
section . In particular, the output integration
time is the sum of all the times of input spectra
(eq. )7.
