CDS is pleased to announce the release of Aladin Desktop version 11.
This new major version is available for download.
The FAQ and the source code package have also been updated.
Aladin Desktop v11 new features include:
- improved time support (time plots with linked views, time controller, time coverage with TMOC support)
- an advanced version of the Discovery Tree, allowing easy access to and filtering of 20,000+ data collections
- various improvements related to Virtual Observatory standards: VOTable 1.4, TAP 1.1, MOC 1.1, Data Link support, support of ADQL JOIN for TAP queries
- misc: support of FITS images internal compression methods (as described in FITS 4.0 paper (https://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/fits_standard.html)), support of hierarchical HEALPix map format used by the gravitational waves community
