To the oral contributors at the WAW conference ---------------------------------------------- Dear Colleague, Here is a synthesis of important practical information relative to your contribution. - Your oral presentation: ---------------------- It should not be longer than 20 min., allowing about 10 min. for subsequent questions, comments and discussion. We request the discipline of each speaker in this respect, since the WAW programme is dense and any delay could affect the overall efficiency, beyond being unfair to your followers. Session chairpersons will be instructed accordingly. You will be able to use an overhead projector and a 24x36 slide projector. A local PC connected to the overhead projector could also allow to display a few pages. If you wish to make use of this facility, you should thus come with a floppy carrying the necessary files. Again, to avoid unnecessary delays, make sure this is efficiently working beforehand. Demonstrations of remote facilities will be possible at dedicated slots of time and locations. It would be advisable you inform us of your possible plans thereupon as soon as possible. - The HTML version of your contribution ------------------------------------- Please do e-mail it to us as soon as possible. It will be installed on the WAW server. Please do make use as much as possible of pointers towards your local facilities, as we shall not make later changes to these files. This is particularly important if you have volatile material on line. - The LaTeX version of your contribution -------------------------------------- It will be published in a special issue of `Vistas in Astronomy' You are entitled to a maximum of 10 (ten) pages including tables and illustrations. The file *must* be delivered to us by the end of the conference at latest to ensure quick publication of the volume. Delay = no publication of your contribution. Feel free to e-mail it to us as soon as possible. The material must be prepared with the standard Elsevier LaTeX macros. The publisher (and the editors) cannot accept any deviation from this. These macros are available through any CTAN archive (or via ftp://ftp.elsevier.nl/pub/styles). If you have any difficulty with these packages, here is a contact point at Elsevier: Sebastian Rahtz We are looking forward to your active participation in a promising meeting and remain, with best regards, Sincerely Yours, The Organizers.
