      extended byjava.lang.Exception

All Implemented Interfaces:
java.io.Serializable

public class CFormatSyntaxException
extends java.lang.RuntimeException

Runtime exception thrown when there is a syntax error in the format specifications. Currently, the only type of syntax error is an illegal format character (e.g., "%d" is legal, but "%a" is not.)

Note that Format.printf() etc do not throw exceptions if the static boolean variable Format.trapErrors is true. (In this case, they print partial results and an error message, and return to the caller.)
