For raster devices (not supporting vectors), a somewhat different method
is used to get a printout. First, a vector file (default extension .vec)
is created, and it is then processed by another utility to produce a
drawing. Several different utilities are provided to do so. Their use
and availability will depend on your own site specificities.
- PLXY is used to provide a bit-file for LXY11 Dec printers
(also called Printronix 300). This bit-file extension is .PLT
and the name is the same as the input metacode file.
- VTXY is used to plot on Versatec.
- LA100 is used to create bit-file for an LA100 Decwriter
(extension .LA100).
