No. 172 may be extragalactic (4C 60.01 ?)
S 147, a wellknown galactic SNR, should be labelled Sim 147. S instead of Sh 2- (HII region, Sharpless, ref. 1959ApJS....4..257S) is of current use, except in eastern Europa where it generally stands for Sim (HII region, Shajn+Gaze, ref. 1950IzKry...6....3S).
